Transparent Header

Transparent Header in Customify lets the header overlay a page cover or hero area in the free theme.

Use it with the Header Builder when the top of a page should show behind selected header rows.

Where to find it

  1. Go to Appearance → Customize → Header → Transparent Header. The Transparent Header settings open.
  2. Enable transparent behavior for the row you want to overlay, such as Header Main.
  3. Choose display rules, transparent row styling, or a transparent logo if needed.
  4. Click Publish. Matching pages use the transparent header.
The Transparent Header settings panel shows row toggles, display rules, transparent logo, and logo width controls.

How Transparent Header works

Transparent Header became a free Customify theme feature in version 0.4.15.

The feature does not create a separate header. It makes selected Header Rows Settings rows transparent while keeping the same row layout, height, and items.

SettingWhat it changes
Transparent Header TopMakes Header Top transparent when Transparent Header is active.
Transparent Header MainMakes Header Main transparent when Transparent Header is active.
Transparent Header BottomMakes Header Bottom transparent when Transparent Header is active.
StylingControls transparent styling for each enabled row.
DisplayOpens disable rules for index, categories, search, archive, single page, single post, singular, and 404 page views. WooCommerce product, product category, and product tag disable rules appear when WooCommerce is active.
Transparent LogoSets the logo image used on transparent header rows.
Transparent Logo RetinaSets the retina logo image used on transparent header rows.
Transparent Logo Max WidthSets the responsive max width for the transparent logo.

Rows

Enable transparent behavior only on the rows that should overlay the page content. For example, you can make Header Main transparent while leaving Header Top and Header Bottom opaque.

If every row toggle is off, the page-level force option cannot make the header transparent. At least one row must be enabled globally first.

Use a transparent logo when the normal logo does not have enough contrast over the page cover. Manage the standard logo from Logo.

The page preview shows a transparent Header Main row overlaying a page cover image.

Page rules and overrides

Global display rules let you disable Transparent Header on page types such as archives, search results, single posts, single pages, or WooCommerce views.

For one page or post, open Customify Page Settings in the block editor. If your build shows a transparent header override, use it to keep inherited global behavior or override the header for that content item.

When to use it

Transparent Header works best on pages with a cover, hero image, or title area. If the page needs a titlebar or cover first, configure Page Header or follow How to show Page/Post Header Cover Image.

Keep Customify Pro active for other Pro modules, but configure transparent header behavior from the free theme settings described here.
