Merge Item – Align between header items in Customify describes the older merge setting and the Header Builder Version 2 column approach for placing adjacent items.
The legacy setting lives inside Header Item Layout. In Header Builder Version 2, use row Column Settings and place related items in the same row column.
Where to find it
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Header. The Header Builder opens.
- Click an item name in a row, or open that item from the Header panel.
- Scroll to Item Layout. Use Margin for item spacing.
- For Header Builder Version 2, move adjacent items into the same row column or adjust that row’s Column Settings.

In Header Builder Version 2, Logo & Site Identity and Primary Menu stay separated when they are placed in different row columns.
To bring those items together in Header Builder Version 2, place them adjacent to each other in the same row column and adjust the column gap if needed.
