Common questions and troubleshooting

Blocksify troubleshooting starts with settings, CSS output, supported blocks, forms, and the Design Library.

Use these answers to separate normal Blocksify behavior from issues that need a cache clear, settings check, or support report.

Styles and caching

Where do I configure Blocksify settings?

Open the Blocksify admin page from the WordPress sidebar for plugin settings. In the editor, use Global Settings for token panels such as colors, gradients, shadows, spacing, and font sizes.

Why did a token edit not rebuild the CSS file?

That is expected for token value edits. Linked color, gradient, shadow, spacing, and font-size values can update across the front end without rebuilding the per-page CSS file.

Deleting a custom color, gradient, or shadow token is different. Deletion can require Blocksify to refresh generated CSS because blocks that used the deleted token need a fallback.

Is missing CSS always a file-mode cache issue?

No. File and inline delivery are separate from whether Blocksify can find every block on the page. If a synced reference or template inserts blocks in a way Blocksify cannot collect on that install, switching output mode may not solve it.

For normal raw block markup in post content, Blocksify collects the blocks and invalidates on page save. Review How Blocksify keeps your site fast for the CSS delivery model.

Why can page CSS look stale after a site-wide edit?

Editing widgets, changing widget areas, publishing in the Customizer, or saving shared blocks can affect styles reused across pages. Blocksify refreshes generated page CSS after those changes; if old CSS persists, go to Blocksify → Dashboard → Settings → Performance and click Clear cache.

Where can I roll back Blocksify?

Go to Blocksify → Dashboard → Settings → Version control, choose an earlier version from the dropdown, and click Roll back. Use an earlier release only while troubleshooting, then check your site after the reinstall finishes.

The Blocksify Settings screen shows the CSS output mode and cache controls.

Why does a Style Class look different in the editor?

Some themes use high-specificity or !important editor link rules. Link colors or overlay previews may look different in the editor canvas while the published page remains correct.

Publish or preview the frontend before treating that as a class output bug. Local block overrides still win over class values when both set the same property.

How many Style Classes can I create?

You can create up to 5000 Style Classes. If a class chip appears missing, wait for the editor to finish loading class data; a deleted class appears as an orphan chip that can be detached.

Blocks and editing

Does Blocksify work with my theme?

Blocksify works with block-compatible themes. The plugin readme names Twenty Twenty-Five as the recommended baseline and Customify as the companion theme from the same team.

Why do I not see Product Loop?

Product Loop requires WooCommerce. If WooCommerce is not active, the WooCommerce variation and product element set are not loaded; use Content Loop for posts and terms.

Can a Content Loop show posts a visitor cannot read?

No. A Content Loop queries only readable posts and limits selected statuses to public ones, so it never shows a post the current visitor cannot read.

Which blocks currently support interactions?

Free entrance interactions are available on Section, Container, and Content Loop. Content Loop can animate the Loop Wrap, Card, and Media areas.

Forms

Who can manage Blocksify forms?

Only administrators can list, view, create, edit, publish, or delete Blocksify forms. Visitors can still submit published forms on the front end.

Why did a form submission fail validation?

The Form block validates on the server, with a client-side mirror for user experience. Required fields, email fields, field types, pattern rules, honeypot, and reCAPTCHA can all reject a submit.

Why did I see a session-expired message?

A cached page can keep an expired form security check. Refresh the page and submit again.

Can a redirect run if the form action failed?

No. Blocksify runs the selected submit actions before showing the final response. If an action fails, such as an integration error or failed mail send, the visitor sees the Error message and the redirect is skipped.

The Form Settings panel shows Submit Actions and Messages controls.

Design Library

What does the Design Library insert?

The Design Library inserts editable Blocksify blocks into the current post. After insertion, edit those blocks like any other page content.

Why did an image stay on the remote URL?

If image sideloading fails because of a 404, network error, or MIME rejection, the pattern still inserts and keeps the original remote URL for that image. Replace the image manually if you do not want it to hotlink.

Are kits available yet?

Kits are not part of the Design Library yet; Patterns are. Use Patterns when you want to insert a layout.
