Blocksify Text Highlight and Inline Image add styled emphasis and small pictures inside text without inserting another block.
Both tools live in the Text block toolbar. Select a phrase to highlight it, or place the cursor where an image should appear.
Where to find it
- Select a Text block in the WordPress editor.
- Select the words you want to emphasize, then click Text Highlight in the block toolbar. The highlight settings open for that phrase.
- For a picture, place the cursor between words and click Inline Image. The image picker opens from the same toolbar.

Highlight styles
Open Highlight Type to choose one of eight effects, then use Color for a palette or custom color. Each preview shows the real shape.

| Style | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Soft marker | A soft band across most of the letter height. |
| Offset swipe | An angled, tapered band behind the words. |
| Editorial rule | One slightly tilted line below the phrase. |
| Double stroke | Two imperfect underlines at different angles. |
| Rounded chip | A solid fill with gently rounded corners. |
| Gradient wash | A soft gradient that fades toward both ends. |
| Soft frame | A hand-drawn outline around the words. |
| Inset notch | A half-height color block behind the lower text. |
Click inside a highlighted phrase to edit it, or choose Remove Effect to clear it.
Reveal on scroll
The Animation control can leave the effect static or reveal it once when the phrase enters the visitor’s view.

| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| None | Shows the complete highlight immediately with no reveal. |
| Wipe | Reveals the effect from left to right while the text stays in place. |
| Rise | Reveals the effect from bottom to top while the text stays in place. |
| Speed | Appears for Wipe or Rise and sets 0.2 to 3 seconds. The initial value is 1.4 seconds. |
For entrance effects on a whole block instead of one phrase, see Block animations and interactions.
Inline Image
Inline Image inserts a square-cropped Media Library image that sits in the same line as the surrounding text. Select the picture again to replace it or adjust its appearance.

| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Select image / Replace image | Chooses a Media Library image or exchanges the selected one while keeping its appearance settings. |
| Size | Sets equal width and height. The slider runs from 16 to 200 and supports px or em. |
| Radius | Rounds the crop with a percentage or pixel value. The initial 50% value makes a circle. |
| Gap | Adds equal space on the left and right in px or em. |
| Vertical Align | Places the image at Baseline, Middle, Top, or Bottom relative to the text. |
| Hover Zoom | Sets the hover scale from 100% to 150%; 100% leaves the image unchanged. |
Click Remove image to delete the inline picture. Inline Image has no link setting; use a nearby Button block when the image needs a clear destination.
Frontend behavior
Static highlights use CSS only, so they add no JavaScript. When Wipe or Rise is enabled, Blocksify loads the shared reveal script once for the page and runs the effect once as each phrase scrolls into view.
Visitors who prefer reduced motion see the final painted highlight without movement. Inline Image also uses CSS for its square crop and optional hover zoom, while WordPress supplies responsive image choices from the selected media.
