The Blocksify Text block renders paragraphs and headings from one multi-tag text block. Use it after the editor tour when building copy that needs responsive control.
At a glance
| Block name | blocksify/text |
| Role | Holds rich text content and displays it as the selected HTML tag. |
| Default tag | p for the Text tile; the Heading tile defaults to h2. |
| Tag choices | p, h1 through h6, div, and span. |
| Key supports | Typography, colors, spacing, border, size, overflow, position, z-index, visibility, indent, and advanced settings. |
Where to find it
- Open the block inserter and choose Text or Heading. Both tiles insert the same
blocksify/textblock. - Select the block on the canvas.
- Use the toolbar tag dropdown or the inspector’s HTML Tag setting to choose the rendered tag.

When to use it
Use Text for normal paragraphs, page headings, section headings, compact labels, and inline text cases that need the same Blocksify inspector surface. A separate blocksify/heading block is not created by the Heading tile.
- Use Text Highlight to give a selected phrase a visual marker or reveal effect.
- Use Inline Image to place a small image directly within the text flow.
Text can also show a post’s full content through Dynamic Data: choose Content in the Post field group.
Leave typography values empty when the active theme should define the look. The controls inherit theme values until you set a font, size, weight, alignment, or related field.
Tags and variations
The inserter exposes Text and Heading as separate tiles for editor convenience. They insert the same block and start with different HTML tags.
| Choice | What it does |
| Text tile | Starts the block as a paragraph. |
| Heading tile | Starts the block as a heading. |
| Toolbar dropdown | Switches among H1-H6, P, Div, and Span. |
| Inspector select | Offers plain-text labels such as Heading 1 through Heading 6 and Paragraph. |
Heading hierarchy
Use h1 for the page title when the content needs one, then use h2 and h3 for section structure. Body copy should usually stay on p.
Typography and color
The Typography panel includes the Typography popover, HTML Tag select, and Indent control. Typography covers family, weight, style, responsive font size, responsive line height, letter spacing, transform, decoration, and responsive text alignment.

The Colors panel controls text, link, and background colors. Because these colors support hover editing, Hover Mode can hold separate hover color values.
Style capabilities
Text does not include image, gradient, video, shape, or overlay background controls. Put those backgrounds on a wrapping Container, while the Text block keeps typography and inline content styling close to the text itself.
| Panel | What it controls |
| Typography | Typography, HTML tag, and indent. |
| Colors | Text, link, and background color states. |
| Spacing | Padding and margin. |
| Border, Radius & Shadow | Border, radius, and shadow styling for the text element. |
| Size & Position | Sizing, overflow, z-index, and position in one consolidated panel. |
| Visibility and Advanced | Per-device hide flags, anchor, and additional CSS classes. |
Tips
- Use the Heading tile when you want an
h2starting point. - Use the toolbar dropdown for quick tag changes while writing.
- Keep theme inheritance when the active theme already defines a strong type scale.
- Wrap Text in a Container when it needs complex background treatment.
