Create and apply a condition

Blocksify Pro lets you build a saved visibility condition once and apply it to Blocksify blocks that provide the Visibility panel.

Before you start: Sign in as an administrator and add a Section containing Northstar Studio’s member-or-Mobile call to action.

Create and name the condition

  1. Go to Blocksify → Dashboard → Conditions. The saved Conditions list opens.
  2. Click Add New. The New condition editor appears.
  3. Enter Member or mobile call to action in Name.
  4. Leave Status as Active. Only active conditions appear in a block’s picker.
  5. Optionally enter an administrator-only Description.
The new condition form shows Member or mobile call to action in the Name field and Active selected for Status.

The name appears in the list and each block’s Condition picker, so describe the audience rather than one page.

Add the logged-in rule

  1. Go to Blocksify → Dashboard → Conditions and open Member or mobile call to action.
  2. Under Rules, click Add rule. A rule row appears.
  3. Open Condition and choose User.
  4. Open Comparator and choose is logged in. This comparator needs no further value.
A completed condition rule shows User selected with the is logged in comparator.

With only this rule, the condition passes for any signed-in visitor and fails for a signed-out visitor. The next phase adds a second way to pass.

Add the Mobile alternative and save

  1. Go to Blocksify → Dashboard → Conditions and reopen Member or mobile call to action if needed.
  2. At the top of Rules, set Show when matching to ANY. Items at the root are now joined by OR.
  3. Click Add group. The new group appears after the User rule with an OR connector and one rule row.
  4. In that row, choose Device, choose is, and select Mobile.
  5. Leave the one-rule group’s own match choice as ALL, then click Save changes. The condition is saved as an active reusable choice.
The Rules panel shows a User is logged in rule joined by OR to an ALL group containing a Device is Mobile rule.

The root ANY choice means either item may pass. A group becomes useful when one alternative needs several rules that must all pass together.

Apply the condition to a block

  1. Go to Pages → All Pages and edit the Northstar Studio page containing the call to action.
  2. Select its outer Section. The block settings appear in the sidebar.
  3. Open Visibility, then find the Condition row below the Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile visibility controls.
  4. Choose Member or mobile call to action. The saved condition is now attached to that Section.
  5. Click Update or Publish.
The block Visibility panel shows Member or mobile call to action selected in the Condition row.

The editor keeps the Section visible so you can work on it. Blocksify Pro checks the selected rule set when a visitor requests the published page.

Test each visitor state

  1. Go to Pages → All Pages → View while signed in on a desktop browser. The call to action should appear because the User rule passes.
  2. Open the same URL in a signed-out private desktop window. The block should be absent because neither alternative passes.
  3. Open the page while signed out on a phone. The block should appear because Device is Mobile passes.
  4. Clear every relevant page or CDN cache between tests so each request is rendered for its visitor state.
The published Northstar Studio call to action is visible to a signed-out visitor on a mobile phone.

Warning: Shared full-page caching can reuse one visitor’s result for another. Exclude this page from shared caching or configure separate cache entries for the audience differences you use.

Create a condition from the block

  1. Go to Pages → All Pages, edit a page, select a Blocksify block, and open Visibility.
  2. Click Create a condition beside the Condition heading. A modal opens without leaving the page editor.
  3. Complete Name, Status, optional Description, and Rules just as you would in the dashboard.
  4. Click Create condition. The modal closes, and the new condition is selected automatically on the block.
  5. Click Update or Publish to save the block assignment.
The complete Create a condition modal shows its filled name, active status, description and rule builder above the Create condition button.

You can later manage the saved item from Blocksify → Dashboard → Conditions. See Where Blocksify Pro appears in WordPress for orientation.
