Blocksify Pro filter URLs preserve a Loop Filter’s active choices so visitors can share, bookmark, and revisit a result set.
A separate results index supplies fast option lists and counts while the Target Loop continues to use current content.
What appears in the address bar?
Each active facet becomes a query-string key and value. A default long key follows cl_{loop-id}_f_{facet-slug}; numeric ranges add _min or _max, while choice facets, search, sorting, and the current results page use their own keys. The Find a Property example below was loaded from /find-a-property/?price-band=03-1m-2m&cl_c0ffee14_page=2.

- Open the published Find a Property page and select $1M–$2M under Price band.
- Move to page two of the filtered property results.
- Copy the resulting address, such as
/find-a-property/?price-band=03-1m-2m&cl_c0ffee14_page=2. - Open it in a new tab. The Price band choice, result page, and matching cards are restored.
When a facet allows several choices, its key can repeat once for each value. Changing a filter also returns the Target Loop to its first results page so an old page number cannot hide valid matches.
URL slug and URL alias
URL slug identifies the facet inside its Loop Filter. In the published City facet, the locked URL slug is city, Namespaced URL appears next, and the locked URL alias is location.

- Select the Loop Filter, open Facets, and click the facet.
- In Data, set a stable URL slug before publishing. On a published facet, click Unlock slug first if you need to change it.
- Set Namespaced URL, which sits between URL slug and URL alias. The working City example leaves it off.
- Enter a readable URL alias. On a published facet, click Unlock alias first if you need to change it.
- Click Update, test a filtered link, and keep that alias unchanged anywhere the URL has already been shared.
An alias uses lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, up to 64 characters, and must be unique across the site. WordPress parameters, taxonomy names, and public content-type names are reserved. If an alias is unavailable, Blocksify Pro warns in the editor and uses the long key.
For example, the alias city is rejected because WordPress already reserves it for City taxonomy queries, so the working setup keeps city as its URL slug and uses location as its URL alias.
Shareable links and browser navigation
The URL is the record of the visitor’s applied filters. Copying or bookmarking it preserves facets, keyword search, and a Loop Toolbar sort choice.
Browser Back and Forward move through earlier filtered URLs. Blocksify Pro restores the controls and results for each address, including after a browser restores the page from its own history.
Tip: Set readable aliases before promoting a filtered collection. A short link is easier to recognize in analytics, email, and support conversations.
Instant, Apply button, and Reset
Apply mode controls when the draft choices become an applied URL. It does not change the URL format.

| Control | What visitors see |
| Instant | Each facet change updates the URL and refreshes results after a short pause. The Apply control is hidden when scripts are available. |
| Apply button | Visitors can change several controls without changing the address; clicking Apply submits them together, updates the URL, refreshes results, and closes a button-driven shell. |
| Reset | Removes this Target Loop’s facets, search, and sort choices from the address, returns its results to the first page, and preserves unrelated query-string values. |
Without JavaScript, the controls remain a standard form: visitors choose values and submit, and the full page reloads with the corresponding URL.
What is the results index?
The results index is a prepared list of the values used by published facets. It lets a filter show option names, counts, range ends, and disabled or zero-result choices without scanning every post or product for each visit.

When content, taxonomy terms, custom fields, or product details change, Blocksify Pro refreshes the affected information. A new facet or a full rebuild is processed in background batches, so counts can lag briefly while the Target Loop’s actual results remain current.
Use Manage the Loop Filter index to check progress or rebuild counts. The free plugin’s performance overview explains the wider loading strategy.
Warning: Configure page caches and CDNs to respect query strings. A filtered URL is a distinct page state; serving the unfiltered cached page for every query string makes shared links appear broken.
