Media Slider element

Blocksify Pro Media Slider shows several images for every entry as a slider inside its Content Loop card.

It can use the featured image, a gallery field, or both. Each card receives its own images and controls.

Where to find Media Slider

  1. Select a Content Loop block and open General → Card in the right sidebar.
  2. Under Card Elements, click Add media. If the card already has an Image card item, remove it or use the picker to replace it.
  3. Choose Media Slider under Element type, then click Add Element. The new card item fills the card’s media area.

Media Slider and Image share one media position, so a card cannot display both there. The free Content Loop block guide covers the other Card Builder controls.

Source offers Gallery field, Featured image, and Featured + gallery. A gallery choice also reveals Gallery field, where this example uses the Meta Box field Photo Gallery.

The Media Slider controls show Source set to Featured + gallery and Gallery field set to Photo Gallery.
SettingDescription
Gallery fieldUses only the images saved in the selected gallery field.
Featured imageUses the entry’s featured image. A card with no featured image has no media output.
Featured + galleryPuts the featured image first, then adds the selected gallery images. A repeated attachment is shown once.

The field picker supports gallery fields from ACF/SCF, Meta Box, Pods, and Toolset. If it is empty, confirm the Content Loop’s post type and review Supported field plugins: ACF/SCF, Meta Box, Pods and Toolset.

Max images, Aspect ratio, and Image size

These settings control how many slides are used and how images fit the card. They apply independently to every result.

The Media Slider controls show Max images set to 4, Aspect ratio set to 3 / 2, and Image size set to Default (Large).
SettingDescription
Max imagesLimits each card to 1–10 images. The default is 4.
Aspect ratioOffers Auto, 16 / 9, 4 / 3, 3 / 2, 1 / 1, and 3 / 4. A fixed ratio keeps rows visually even; Auto follows the available image area.
Image sizeOffers Default (Large), Thumbnail, Medium, Medium Large, and Full. Choose a size close to the card’s displayed width.

For a Properties grid with four images per listing, Max images 4, Aspect ratio 3 / 2, and Image size Default (Large) provide a balanced starting point. The first image loads first; later slides load as needed.

Arrows and Dots

Arrows and Dots each have their own visibility setting. Their choices are Always show, Show on hover, and Hide.

The Media Slider navigation controls show Arrows set to Show on hover and Dots set to Always show.

The defaults are hover-only arrows and always-visible dots. Keeping dots visible tells visitors that more images are available, while hover-only arrows reduce visual weight on desktop.

Hide removes that control, but visitors can still swipe on a touch device when more than one slide exists. Avoid hiding both controls when the card needs an obvious desktop cue.

Loop, Effect, Autoplay, and Autoplay delay (ms)

The motion controls appear in this order: Loop, Effect, Autoplay, and Autoplay delay (ms) when autoplay is on. They apply to every card created by that Content Loop.

The Media Slider motion controls show Loop set to Off, Effect set to Slide, Autoplay set to On, and Autoplay delay (ms) set to 4000.
SettingDescription
LoopOn continues from the last slide to the first. Off stops at the beginning and end.
EffectSlide moves images horizontally. Fade transitions between images in place.
AutoplayOff leaves movement to the visitor. On reveals Autoplay delay (ms); an empty or invalid delay uses 4000 milliseconds.

For listing cards, manual movement with Loop Off is the quieter default. If autoplay supports the design, use a delay that gives visitors enough time to view each image.

Storefront behavior

On the published page, visitors can use the visible arrows or dots and swipe across the slider on touch screens. Keyboard arrow keys control the card currently under the pointer, preventing several cards from moving together.

The Grove Street Apartment card shows its second gallery photograph in the Media Slider with both arrows and three navigation dots visible.

Each slide remains an image inside the card; selecting it does not open a larger overlay. Use the free Image Gallery block when a standalone gallery better fits the page.

Note: If a Loop Filter or pagination changes the results, newly displayed cards receive their own working sliders. When an entry has no usable image for the selected source, its card renders without the media area.
