Dynamic data in the Content Loop

Blocksify Pro brings custom fields and related content into every card built with the Content Loop.

What is dynamic data in the Content Loop?

The free Blocksify plugin supplies the Content Loop with card items for images, titles, excerpts, dates, authors, terms, and product details. Blocksify Pro adds Dynamic Field, Group, and Link to the card builder for information stored elsewhere.

A Dynamic Field can read supported fields from ACF or SCF, Meta Box, Pods, and Toolset. It can also read an unprotected custom meta key when no field plugin describes that value.

The Add element menu lists Excerpt, Date, Modified date, Taxonomy, Dynamic Field, Group, and Link above the card position controls.

The output follows the saved value. Text, numbers, dates, images, yes/no values, choices, colors, and links can appear directly; a single related item can expose one supported field. The Pro Media Slider card item can present gallery images as a slider.

How does dynamic data work?

You design one Content Loop card, and Blocksify Pro repeats it for every result. Each Dynamic Field keeps its selected field, display settings, optional fallback, and optional link target.

For example, a Properties loop can place Price, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Floor Area, and Listing Agent in the same card. The first card reads those values from the first property, the next card reads them from the next property, and so on.

The editor preview shows a Grove Street Apartment card with a photo slider, price, bed, bath and area details, agent name and Meet the agent button.

Try it

  1. Select a Content Loop that queries Properties. The block toolbar and settings appear.
  2. Open General → Card. The card builder appears below Card preview.
  3. Under Card Elements, select Add element, choose Dynamic Field, and select Add Element. A new Dynamic Field card item appears.
  4. Open Field, find the Meta Box group, and choose Price. The preview shows the price saved on a recent published property.
  5. Enter $ in Prefix and Price on request in Fallback text. The preview reflects the formatting, while an empty Price displays $Price on request because the prefix wraps the fallback too.

The editor preview uses a published sample. On the published page, each card reads its own result, so check several cards.

Why use dynamic data in a Content Loop?

Build one reusable card

The layout stays consistent while editors update its entries. Add a property, change its price, or assign a different agent without rebuilding the page.

Keep missing values intentional

Fallback text prevents an empty supported field from leaving an unexplained gap. It works especially well for short text, numbers, dates, choices, and related-item labels; image fields instead offer an image-size control.

Use custom content types as real listings

Blocksify Pro unlocks public custom post types for the Content Loop and makes their custom taxonomies available in the Taxonomy card item. This lets a property, tour, team member, or other structured entry become a complete listing rather than a title-only result.

The published Property Cards grid shows Grove Street Apartment, Elmsworth Villa and Highfield House with real prices, bed, bath and area details, agent names and footer buttons.
